This Wednesday and Thursday the El NuevoDia will present Autopista Américas 2007. And while you might think it has something to do with highways, traffic, or how to make more advertising visible from them, no, this highway is for the La Feria Internacional de Universidades.
While the fair seems to be dominated by every campus from University of Puerto Rico and InterAmerican University, there will also be a few dozen other universities as well. The fair will provide information about scholarships, financial aid, and awards for athletes and new careers. Entrance is completely free of charge for undergraduate and graduate students and includes a culinary demonstration by an International Chef. Samples of the culinary delights will be available for free, but you'll have to pay if you want to eat a meal (Boom, oh yeah, taste that).
Of the schools participating, several are hosting receptions each day between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and those schools are:
- Centenary College
- Texas A & M University
- University of Southern Indiana
- Stetson University
- Schiller International University
- McNeese State University
- Iona College
- Purdue University
- Iowa State University
- Florida International University
