A week from Saturday, on March 18th, Estadio Hiram Bithorn is going to transform into the biggest Salsa discotheque, dance hall, place in Puerto Rico for the 24th celebration of the Día Nacional de la Salsa. As we previously blogged about this, this update adds some meat to the bones of the event. First off, the event is dedicated in homage to Ismael Miranda, Raphy Leavitt, Sammy Marrero and Ramon Rodriguez.
While the order is not crystal clear, here is the list of invited artists:
- El maestro Luis "Perico" Ortiz with his singers Rafael de Jesus and Roberto Lugo who will be joined by Joey Pastrana
- There will be a reunion of La Orquesta La Masacre de Julito Castro with Ramon Rodriguez and Tito Nieves
- El Rey de la Decima Espinela, Don Mariano Cotto and Los Travadores Victoria Sanabria and Victor Manuel Reyes accompanied by two of the best cuatristas in Puerto Rico, Prodigio Claudio and Pedrito Guzman.
- Finally, Papo Cocote and his Montuno.
