From July 12th through July 15th, Old San Juan will celebrate The Festival de la Bahia. The festival, which unites a diverse collection of musical artists annually, will take place on Pier 8 and start everyday except Friday at 6:30 P.M. and at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday.
This year's festival is dedicated to the 53 years of television on the island with a union of various stars from each of the local channels. This group of celebrities that will share responsibility of animating the festival include: Jessi Calderón, los elencos de "TV Ilegal", Maripily, Gloria Soltero, Deddi
Romero, Wanda Sáez, Angelique Burgos "La Burbu", Miralda Chávez, Dreuxila Divine, and Isamari Castrodad.
According to organizers of the event, the event will cost ONLY $500,000, thanks to the artists charging less than they usually cost. One becomes stupified wondering what the event would have cost if the performers had charged full price. Jeez.
The parking lots at La Puntilla and Covadonga will open for parking in the afternoon, and the Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses y El Tren Urbano will offer service until 12:00AM midnight.
