25th Dia Nacional de la Salsa

On March 30th, Puerto Rico will celebrate the 25th National Salsa Day at Coliseo Hiram Bithorn. This year's event is dedicated to the director of the group Libre, Manny Oquendo, the historian Rafeal Viera, and the pianist Larry Harlow. And according to these honorees, "We dedicate this for our audience, our fellow salseros."

The event will start at 12:00 noon and feature an all-star line-up including:

• la Orquesta Siglo XXI
• la Sonora Ponceña
• El Gran Combo
• Larry Harlow and Ismael Miranda with Junior González and Adalberto Santiago
• Spanish Harlem Orchestra with Ray de la Paz and Manny Oquendo & Libre

More than 40,000 salseros are expected to attend the event, which is sponsored by the Z-93 radio station. Tickets are available at TicketPop for $22.
